1.) A movie on the IMBD top 250 list: Forrest Gump -
Forrest Gump is one of my all time favorite movies. It funny, sad, exciting, pretty much everything you could ask for in a movie. One scene youll want to tear up, and the next, youll want to laugh. I think another good thing about this movie is how they fit his life into almost everything, like how he was an all american football player at alabama, the owner of bubba gump shrimp, famous for running across the country, and speaking at a march infront of thousands near the washington monument.
2.) A movie that is black and white and 50 years old: To Kill a Mocking Bird -
To Kill a Mocking Bird is a movie in a mostly racist town where 2 kids and their father live without a mother in a small house. The father, Atticus, is a lawyer and his two kids are named Jem, a 10 year old boy, and scout, a 6 year old girl. When one of the poor white girls in the town gets "raped" by a back man named Tom Robinson, Atticus is appointed to be Tom's lawyer. When the kids find out whats going on, they think the girl is lying. Atticus stands for his client and defends him till the end.
3.) A movie in a foreign language: Life is Beautiful -
This movie is about a jewish man who falls in love with the girl of his dreams. They become happy together and have a kid. When the extermination of the jews begins with hitler, the dad, Guido has to go lengths to protect his son, Joshua, from being captured. This movie is both funny and sad, which makes it so good.
